Labor Day is celebrated in the Philippines on May 1st. The first Labor Day celebration was on May 1, 1903 in front of the Malacañang Palace in a massive rally staged by the Union Obrera Democratica(Democratic Laborer’s Union) pressing for worker’s economic rights.
