Let it snow: Google brings snowflakes to your search

The latest easter egg from the search engine giant has a Christmas theme.
Google search engine brings snowflakes to your browser.

Here’s how it works:

Type let it snow into the search field.
Google.com will return the normal search engine results with your favorite YouTube videos of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Kylie Minogue at the top of the page.

Notice a multitude of snowflakes that will start falling from the top of the browser until all the search results are lumbered by digital ice.  Once the page is entirely shrouded with snow, just click the defrost button to clear the screen and bring up the search results once again.

Snowflakes will continue to fall in the background.

This entertaining code does not appear to work on mobile devices though it somehow worked on my Ipad. Let me know if it works on your end. Have a merry Google search everyone!

Is Adobe really giving up on Androids?

I’ve seen a lot of recent articles about “Occupy Flash” and “Occupy HTML” from software developers. According to Adobe, they are to put out update of Flash for ICS Android 4.0. Is Flash really on the way out when it comes to mobile phones?

Is Adobe really giving up on Androids?  The answer is Yes- for now, at least. Adobe Flash for mobile devices will no longer be developed by the company.

Adobe has announced the discontinuance of flash development for mobile browser, instead, changing course to focus more on the emerging Web standard HTML5. The plan is to allow for the display of the same kind of vivid content that was once the exclusive domain of Flash, without the use of Adobe’s proprietary technology.

What are your thoughts? Any of the Androids your foodie buddy?
